First episode of a new series was screened tonight UK Channel 4 called "That will teach them". A group of pupils in actual life awaiting their GCSE (O'level" 15/16 year olds) results are taken back for a month as 1950's students.
My initial reaction is - overacting by the teachers (but they are not allowed any of the options that my teachers had for discipline!) and the kids thought it a big joke - Then the kids took a test in Maths (they weren't told the test was for 11 year olds) - one scored 12%! average seemed around 40-50% but there was one lad who scored 100%.
I'm already thinking THIS should be in Memory or CI - but did anyone else watch the programme?
Forgot to say the selected students are all predicted to get A or B grades in their Exam results It was significant that one student when asked to choose what to keep (It had to exist in the 1950's) chose her Teddy Bear over her Nivea Hand Cream .
