I was thinking of starting up a line of conversdation about something totally random. So I randomly chose barbers. So here's my little snippet of info on Barbers.

A law passed during the reign of Henry VIII in 1540 and still in operation makes it illegal for barbers in the City of London to practise surgery. In theory, though, a City barber could set up as a dentist since, under the statute, the 'drawing od teeth' is allowed. With impeccable impartiality, the statute also forbids surgeons to act as barbers !

Any Saturday Night Live fans out there remember Steve Martin's Theodoric Barber of York skit? After causing Lorraine Newman's death(she's alive, guys!), he vowed to bring about a Renaissance in medicine...."NAAAAAHHHHH!" tjoeb};P
