Living History is a book by Hillary Rodham Clinton that basically details her whole life.

However, there were some things that were either disturbing or exceptional depending on your political standing. She was cleaning up for herself in the allegations in the book.

Aside from your thoughts, opinions and otherwise some spoliers, do you think that this book is part of her campaign to win the White House?

I think just about everything she does is part of her campaign to win the White House, but perhaps this is better suited for the Controversial Issues forum.

I don't see any controversy in the post, I'm looking from a distant viewpoint and it does appear to this observer that if you are rich or famous or both you can buy your way to office in the USA

I think the lady's got a lot of class. For instance, her dignified
stance over the Lewinsky matter had a far more profound
effect on me than her husband's pathetic attempts to make
the issue go away. If any lady could fulfil the function of
President of the United States, that lady is Hillary Rodham
Clinton.

I would like to ask what is this remark if not controversial? It belongs in CI, not in Books , if that is the way the discussion is going...
So. Are we discussing the book or the idiosyncrasies of US politics?? Personally , I would quite like to hear peoples'opinions of the book per se. If it is felt that cannot be done without being controversial about American politics as a whole, then please will someone transfer it? Thanks.

Ren, the subject matter may be controversial, but the contents of the book shows that the priveledged few have a head start in US Politics. It's not what you know but Who you know and how much (or who) are you prepared to sacrifice in obtaining your goals.
However if others feel the same way as you do then we can certainly look at moving the thread to CI.
