England won the third test of the NPower series against South Africa thanks to James Kirtley. His 6 wicket haul really must have have pleased Fletcher and Vaughan. But don't you think he should have been played earlier.

Kirtley has played quite a few ODI's, but has had a problem with a 'suspect' bowling action. This has virtually made him unavailable for extended periods of time.
I guess it's a little ironic that England's main bowler had to retire to give Kirtley a game.
Btw, I was very impressed by the effort put in by Steve Harmison. He was obviously injured, but still insisted on going out and 'pulling his weight'. That's the sort of attitude that's been lacking in several English players over the past 15 years or so.

Great performances by all the new comers and a vindication that you can have an hours play with next to no runs being scored and it still be rivetting viewing. With half an hour to go it could have gone either way! Roll on the next test!
Very impressed with Steve Harmisson coming back onto the field with the injury, he was obviously suffering and I agree he showed the sort of committment that has been lacking - I think it was Ian Botham who first said "Give me an England shirt and I'll play for nothing (No wages!)" . It's really good to see the youngsters coming into the Test arena and giving their best shot.
