There's another critical update for Internet Explorer (dated 20th August). It should be installed using Windows Update as soon as possible (if not sooner! ). This is another case where trouble can strike even if you are not using IE as your browser. It only has to be installed.

Note: Windows Update needs to be accessed using IE for it to work (it's all to do with IE ActiveX, which only IE uses).

My computer somehow got this W32 Blaster Worm, but fortunately Norton Antivirus detected it in time, and so I downloaded the fix from Symantec's website. Phew...got rid of that thing before it really infected my computer and did a whole lot of damage.

I'm downloading this fix anyway, there might be similar worms around...
