I got a correction note about my The Two Towers

Quote:

somehow the e was turned into a y, there was no yothain or hyma to choose from- you can't get the answers right I tried a second time to make sure.
?othain and Freda Incorrect
The correct answer is ￉othain and Freda.
Haleth, son of H?ma Incorrect
The correct answer is Haleth, son of H£ma

Quote:

What are the names of the two children who flee on horseback from the Wildmen, and ride to Edoras to the warning of the fall of the Westfold?

the question concerned is

Éogan and Frella
Elvis and Freya
Éothain and Freda
Evan and Freda

when I wrote the quiz I didn't place accents (is that what they are called?)over the the letters E, I assume that an editor did. Do some computers have trouble read Es with accents. It seems this guy sees this Es as Ys. Does this happened to anyone else?
What should I do. I don'yt like changing back something an editor changed.

It is a problem with the data base. Terry is aware of the situtation and as soon as he can recreate the problem, I am certain that he will fix it.

Kuu, if you have not done it already, you may want to send the quiz player a note explaining that while you are sorry they got the answers wrong, it is a data base problem and will be corrected by the webmaster.

At least that will stop the quiz player from thinking it was something he did and it is also the truth about why those symbols appeared/appear.

Thanks, I shall do that.

Would it be corrected if I change it back to all plain Es and As?

I personally, do not see a problem with that, but I would ask one of the editors in the category that the quiz is in if it would be okay to do that.

A double check by an editor cannot hurt any, and they may decide to fix it instead.
