It's time for a game of cricket, folks. With the kind permission of Copago, I have started this challenge. Here are the rules.

I need a few people who would like to participate in this challenge. Once we have at least 12, we'll divide into teams and each team will have a captain. Now each team will ask cricket questions to each other and a correct answer will count as 1 run. After six questions have been asked by each of the teams, all the points will be added up. The highest team wins the challenge.

Teams:
Dalgeish Dinasours

Dalgeish (Captain)
Fosse4
Izzi
Wriks
Copago
oleg_mcnoleg

Manvinder Mashers:

Manvinder (captain)
Harish
Halfbakedangi
Ozzz2002
Silverginger
Gth04

SCOREBOARD

Manvinder Mashers 24/26 balls (Strike Rate 92.31)

Dalgeish Dinasours 19/23 balls (Strike Rate 82.61)

Balls means the total runs a team can get of a question.

Individual Scores for the Mashers
1. Manvinder 21pts
2. Harish 1 pts
3. Gtho4 1 pts

Note that Fosse unintentionally gave us 1 point

Individual Scores for the Dinasours
1. Wriks : 8 pts
2.Oleg: 6 pts
3. Izzi : 3.5
4. Dalgeish : 1 pts
5. Fosse : .5 pts

This has to be right this time.

I'll be in Ozzz's team, he's a true master of trivia (unlinke tipping)!

Yes, but where to get the Indians from? Poor FT seems to be really lacking in them... Also, don't forget those Englishmen - they'll be looking to win at least something!

If you're talking 'bout positions on the field, I'd like to be at long stop, which is a position behind the wicket-keeper! I think used for bowlers who enjoy bowling bouncers, or perhaps those using bodyline tactics. Anyway, nowadays at least, they seldom have any work to do, so that's my spot.

OK, three now

Copago (wants to bowl)
Ozzz2002 (wants to be at first slip and extremely lazy !!)
Harish (wants to be in a position behind the wicket keeper, I don't envy him !)

I think I can count myself in. I would rather be batting.

I guarantee you, if we play an international cricket match in today's times, Ozzz will have a hundred times more work to do than me!

Anyway, getting back to the topic - we need more members!

Harish, do you really think that the captain would let you skulk behind the wicket keeper ??

Anyway, we do need more members.

We'll if he or she doesn't, then I'll thcream and I'll thcream and I'll thcream till I'm thick (and thpeak with thith very unpleathant lithp).

Else I'll march around the ground carrying placards highligting the gross violation of my fundamental rights that have taken place and demanding the immediate removal of the captain. That fails - then I just "gift" a box of sweets to the captain. That should settle things...

I think it's more likely Azhar...

{Edited to add:}
I sure hope he isn't a member here, masquerading as somebody else! Say, perhaps it's Ozzz his success rate in the tipping comps is about as high as Azharuddin's in the international cricket arena!

Anyway, I now feel very guilty of thread-hijacking, so I'll just repeat the main issue: we need more members!

Don't bad-mouth Azhar, he's my favourite cricket player.

Anyway, more members needed.

This sounds like fun, Angi. I'll bat for England please...if they'll have me.

Ozzz's profile: Occupation Security - First slip indeed, shouldn't you be night watchman?

Dalgleish, keep the mobile handy, I may need to phone a friend.

Angi if you want Englishmen change the Topic to 'Discussing Weather'
