Leni Riefenstahl, perhaps the most controversial filmmaker in history, died yesterday at 101, in Germany. Once a movie actress, she became known as a director for two infamous Nazi propaganda films made under the personal aegis of Hitler: "Triumph of the Will" and "Olympia". Even today, her reputation as filmmaker to the Nazi party has overshadowed her most recent work.
