In my town, Fairhaven, we 2 streets, Center and Middle; the words mena the same, right? But I think Center was named because it goes through the center of our town, and Middle because it's between 2 others. I'd love to hear other, way weirder street names! tjoeb};>

I always chuckle when I am driving on Duke st. , and it intersects Earles.

Here in Hong Kong we have a lot of street names that have suffered somewhat in their translation. There is a Rednaxela Terrace(try it in reverse, the signpainter was Chinese!It has never been changed!) We also have a district called Mong Kok ...It should have been Wong Kok , after a Mr. Wong, but once again the signmaker had a problem. it is always MongKok (pronounced 'Wongkok in Chinese)There are so many instances like that.

In Windsor, Colorado the numbered streets begin with "0." Thus, there is a zero street.

The street I used to live was called Oakland Ave., but there were no oak trees on the entire street. Before that, it was called Wardrobe St., named after 2 prominent dentists who lived in the city. Also, West Ave. is 2 blocks from East Ave. In the very center of our city, there are 5 streets that meet at an old springhouse. It is called "the Fivepoints" and it is the most common place for car accidents in the entire city because you have to drive on the part of the sidewalk, which is legal under the circumstances, but a pain in the ass. All this goes on in Waukesha, WI. Ain't it great?
