Well, hopefully, we might get a few views from our Aussie fans. India, Australia and New Zealand are going to play a hard revengeful ODI tri series. The first game held on 23rd October saw India and New Zealand go head to head but unluckily it was washed out. The great Sachin Tendulkar showed some form too !
Well, today is India and Australia ! Australia are without McGrath, Gillespie, Lee and India are without Sourav Ganguly. So let's have your views on the match !

Thanks Angi, for the thread. So, India are today all set for the battle. The first head-to-head of the Indians and Aussies after WC Final, this March. Awesome. India's without Ganguly. The team will be declared before the toss only. Three cheers for India. My views, India are ahead because of - 1. Home advantage;
2. Flat Pitch of which Inda is used to
3. Not much juice in opposite bowling,
4. Sachin back in sort of form

But, the third point here might not be that factual. Andi Bichel was on fire recently. Hayden might be a nightmare for India. So, I'm lookin' for an interesting battle.

Yahoo ! Yes, sweet revenge for India at last ! They are made up of steel ! India have defeated the almighty Aussies by 37 runs ! The Aussies can be defeated !

India : 283/5
Thanks to a glorious 102 from the stylish V.V.S Laxman and a fine 100 from the great Sachin Tendulkar ! Yuvraj Singh also played well with a quickfire 44.

Australia : 246/9 !
They had a great opening partnership. Hayden and Gilchrist took them to 132 before they collapsed. Gilchrist made 83 and Hayden went 47. Everyone else failed.

Well, it's sweet revenge for India and we will be celebrating the whole night, so bye. *goes off to celebrate*

I don't think that winning yesterdays match could be revenge for the world cup final. We still have a long way to go!
What do the aussies in the forum say? ....oh i forgot there busy with the horses.

Yep, with the Melbourne Cup and that egg game...oops, sorry, it's called rugby.

The final is going to be held at Kolkata and I'm proud to say I've got tickets for it. I hope it's India/Australia !

So, Angi, all excited? And, tell us your experience of the finals. I'm with you in hopin' that it's Indo-Aussie, and I also hope that it's India, which is the winner. Well, good luck India.

And, why the Aussies here not responding? The rugby reason is too small for that, I think.

Ankur, not too excited. I have gone to see a few matches live at the stadium so this will be my fourth time. Has anyone else watched a match live at the stadium ?

Angi, I'v been to Mohali to see a day of a Test some two years back. It was sheer fun. But, it's always better when it's an LOI. Hey, chinky, sorry, but which dress will you be wearing?!

Angi - Wave that flag saying Hi to FT - it'll drive the commentators wild trying to guess what it means! But we'll be sure to see you.

Sure, will, Fosse, only problem is that I've accidentaly lost my tickets. Will have to book it again.

Well, acoording to the tri series, the Aussies can rejoice ! The defeated the Kiwis easy. In fact, they thrashed them ! I came back from school and what do I see ? Nothing expect NZ bowled out for 97. Nathan Bracken bowled exceptionally well. The Aussies got it by losing two wickets.

Spotting one flag amongst 120,000 might be a bit difficult but who knows!

Well, maybe, I'll change the colour. But what about your comments about the Aus/NZ game. NZ As we say in Bengal ( hare bhoot hoi galo). The English translation is that NZ have lost so badly that they've become ghosts !

When I came back from school, the match was already over. I had expected a fight. Well, did anyone notice that many Indians were supporting the Kangaroos. I saw that in news. Why so? Can anyone tell me, friends?

Ok, OK ! All right, you Aussies, you can rejoice now ! Australia have defeated India by 77 runs and have also got the bonus point. In front of a bad pitch at Mumbai,

Australia 286/8
Damien Martyn 100

India 209 all out
Sachin Tendulkar

Well done, Australia and Damien Martyn. If only Ganguly was here !

*has a good look at the nails*

WOW ! This was one of the most best nail-biting matches ever. Just have a look at the scores.

New Zealand : 258/9
They were 44/4 at one stage but a brilliant 70 by Jacob Oram got them this far

Australia : 259/8 Overs 49.5
Can you believe it ? Andrew Symonds hit a six off the last ball of the 48th over to make 4 runs required off 6 balls. Then two catches were dropped in the last over !! Wonderful match !

Australia are now leading the group with 18 pts. They've won 3 of their games and have lost 1. India are 6 pts and NZ just 2 points.

As an Indian, I had always hoped for an Ausstralian win against Kiwis. As they are leading the group, I think there isn't any chance to drag them off the finals. So, India should always hope that NZ never gets near the Final. They did the job, Kangaroos I mean. But otherwise, this will always add to their confidence. So, Final is goin' to be tough!

Ankur, you were supporting Australia !! They defeated us in the WC final and in the last match, and you're still supporting them !! Oh well, it's your choice. *rubs eyes*

To tell the truth, I was not supporting anyone in the match. I just hoped for a nice good match !

Angi, they were always a good team, and they deserved to win the WC. But I was being practical this time. But I'm sure India are going to thrash them in Kolkata. What do all of you think about the Final?

By the way, chinky, have you found your lost tickets?

I heard today that Stephen Fleming was bleating about matches being scheduled to favour the host. His gripe was that all the matches featuring India were Day/Nighters but his team's games were played in daylight hours. Well, if you have to grope around for excuses like that, you may as well not bother coming!!
The final? I would not be at all surprised to see India win. Sachin is in cracking form - what a delight it is to watch him!!
Also the Aust. bowling lacks the overall accuracy needed to bowl to Tendulkar, Dravid and co. What's more, some of the Australian top order are not performing at their best.
