it is against the law for any military member to engage in the act of sodomy? the UCMJ (uniformed code of military justice) states this in article 125 "engaging in unnatural copulation with another person or animal. Also, the act of taking the sexual organ of another (same or different sex) into one's mouth or anus, or placing ones sexual organ into the mouth or anus of another (same or different sex). It is not a defense that the participating adults consented to the act."

maiming (article124), deuling (article 114),and adultery (article 134) are also against the law to all military members.
