I already finished my shopping and wrapping. Starting in about July, I'd just pick up things as I found them for people.

I'm a notorious last minute shopper...I think it's hereditary as my mom is also one.

I'll be going away for a weekend sometime before Christmas and will do everything then ... probably in one or two days of mad shopping and running around. And I've have really tried to be a good girl, I promise. If you forget about the car incident and that night of debauchery, oh and the few times when there was too many beer cans stacked up I'm sure I'll be top of your list.

Hi there Santa! I have been a very good girl this year, honest.
My intentions were good and I did some shopping already, but not all. Some of my packages have to be delivered to far flung places so I will need your assistance. I still have a few bits to buy, then the major part of my shopping will be done on a shopping trip to England in a few weeks time.

Dear Santa, I have tried very hard to be a good girl this year.So far I been successful and hope to keep my record clean.I will try real hard not to slip and tell anyone "to get stuffed or that they need a slap upside their head"!LOL LOL I am sure certain people will check me if I get out of line. Have parcels to send all over the globe so must get wrapping! Hope we get snow this year for Christmas! PF

No chance of snow here, thank God!! That's one of the main reasons why I live here. All overseas parcels posted this week, otherwise the postage by air is astronomical. The shopping makes up for it though... so I suppose I save on the swings and roundabouts thing. No doubt all the full flood of Commercial Christmas ghastliness will start soon. I have been good. Really. Well quite good. I tried not to beat up too many children. I got through the horrible SARS thing here without too much ranting. I didn't shop too much . Well not really. I've been trying. When can I send you my list?

I don't even want to think about Christmas yet...I've got my parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, one brother-in-law 2 nephews and a niece to buy gifts for...and then friends and work colleagues... I love buying gifts for the kids...everyone else is a little trickier...and I've always been lousy at buying things for people (I have really bad taste ) And as for whether or not I've been a good girl this year, well I suppose that depends on who you ask !)

Gift certificates for favorite restaurants are on my list. I end up giving for this and that all year long, so I kind of have Christmas all year long. That way I don't have to run in and out of stores that are crowded with people in a mad rush to "be ready for Christmas". SSB

The jolly guy's visit is getting closer and closer! Thought I'd bring this thread up for anyone else that might want to petition on their own behalf.
(I'd also like to (VERY RESPECTFULLY, OF COURSE! I don't want to jeapordize my own chances of great gifts this year!) point out to Santa that his misspelled his own name! I believe you were looking for the name "Claus"? I know you're super busy this time of the year, so honest mistakes like that occur!)

Santa my old mate, I need your help. In all the years that you have been doing your job you will have come across lots of lovely little boys, little toddlers. Can you help me out and give me some hints as to what such a little lad might like to receive for Christmas, I am completely out of practice and don't know whether such a little lad might like something to wear or something to play with, hints would be much appreciated. Oh, I forgot to mention, he is in the upside down part of the world so one needs to take that into consideration, he won't need a snowsuit!
Thanks Santa, I look forward to your reply.

That could be interesting in the northern hemisphere at this time of year, we can but try! Thanks Santa, it is a pity that chocolate would melt before it arrived as I could have popped some in the parcel for his mum, she will have to wait for the weather to cool a bit. Thanks Santa, now you can get back to your grotto.

Sheesh Santa, that was not the easiest task, there are a number of shops with assistants who now think that I am quite bonkers wanting sunhats in December! Kudos to the woman in John Lewis, Southampton who went to search the stockroom for me and came up trumps.
I just hope the little fella isn't too disappointed when he opens his package and finds a boring old hat instead of a toy truck. It went into the post yesterday so it is in the lap of the Gods, or the postal services, as to whether it turns up this year or next.

Sue you forgot to mention "Mums" love of chocolate and the likelyhood it might go missing from under the tree!

I doubt that chocolate lives out of a fridge in that part of the world at this time of year, not a good time of year for it.
