If you were a character in your favourite book, who would you be and why?

As I have over 50 favorite characters in over 50 favorite books, I won't answer that part of the question. I will answer the why. In one word "Empathy." The wrtier has created a sense of empathy between the character and myself.

I'd like to be Elizabeth Bennet form "Pride and Prejudice" or Beatrice from "Much Ado about Nothing"...both of them strong, witty women who held to their convictions (and still got the boy )
