Are there any nancy drew fans out there? Well, I'm a big fan of nancy drew books myself, and I was wondering, does anyone know how nancy's mother died? All I know from the books is that her mum died when nancy was three and since then hannah gruen, the housekeeper has lived with the drews.

I too also loved the Nancy drew Books when I was a preteen and I had alot of the original books in hardcover. I passed these all on to my Niece and she has passed them on to her children.
I believe although it is never directly mentioned in any of the Books Nancy's Mom passed away from Cancer. Now that's just my own theory but as it wasn't a subject that was talked about alot way back then that is what they were referring to I think.
Hope that helps.
Happy Reading.

Ah, Nancy Drew...what memories. My first ND book was read when I was about 12 years old. It was so good that I had my mom take me to the local library every week where I would check out 7-10 books at a time. I learned that when it was time to put one down for chores, eating, etc., I had to make sure it wasn't at the END of a chapter. THAT's where the suspense was for each new chapter. Reading ND is where my love of mystery books came from .
