I wouldn't go as far as Moosey on the enthusiasm front for Tim Curry, but I do have an album of his, released around 1977, which isn't bad, and his single 'I Do The Rock' is a personal fave.
As a singer, he puts a song over pretty well.

I believe Goan Prawn Curry is a lot hotter than both Red Curry and Tim Curry. Does anyone agree?

Getting back to the topic, Tim Curry was good in the Rocky Horror Show. I can't say I am a big fan of his, but he is talented tho.

Funny this should be mentioned. I was only listening to a Goan Curry CD the other day. Classic stuff. It was so HOT I was reaching for the tissuebox in seconds. Another famous Curry worth a look is Gaeng Khio Waan (Thai Curry). I don't think it's a direct relative of Tim Curry, but surely they're all from the same extended family of edible cross-dressers?

Now you guys have obviously never palated Goan Prawn Curry. Just one sunset dinner at Betalbatim beach is enough to convince anyone that Goan Prawn Curry is the hottest.

Moosey, I think it's pretty obvious that Harish and the others were just joking. I think it's just because a lot of people don't know about Tim Curry, certainly I don't, don't take it so hard, but please tell me who really is Tim Curry ?

I have just recieved a complaint from someone about my comments in this thread, and I would like to clarify that I would have not made any of them if this thread featured civilised discussion, which it seems to be vastly lacking in.

And I still insist that Goan prawn curry is the hottest.

Okey dokey - I will ask that the thread does stay on topic please. But I would also ask that there are no more Tim Curry threads started in this forum or any of the others here. It's all a bit much.

On the subject of Tim Curry, would he be the son of John Curry the real cool ice skating dude? Obviously a very talented family.

I did some googling on Tim Curry and found something on IMDB.com, here's what it says

Quote:

The son of a Methodist Royal Navy chaplain, James, and his wife Patricia, a school secretary, Tim Curry studied Drama and English at Cambridge and at Birmingham University, from which he graduated with Combined Honors. His first professional success was in the London production of 'Hair', followed by more work in the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Glasgow Civic Repertory Company, and the Royal Court Theater where he created the role of Frank N. Furter in 'The Rocky Horror Show'. He recreated the role in the Los Angeles and Broadway productions and starred in the screen version entitled Rocky Horror Picture Show, The (1975). Mr. Curry continued his career on the New York and London stages with starring roles in 'Travesties', 'Amadeus', 'The Pirates Of Penzance', 'The Rivals', 'Love For Love', 'Dalliance', 'The Threepenny Opera', 'The Art Of Success', and 'My Favorite Year'. He also starred in the US tour of 'Me And My Girl'. He has received two Tony award nominations for best actor and won the Royal Variety Club Award as "Stage Actor of the Year".

A composer and a singer, Mr. Curry toured the US and Europe with his own band and released four albums for A&M records. In addition to an active movie and television career, he is a sought-after actor for CD-ROM productions. His distinctive voice can be heard on more than a dozen audio books, and in countless animated television series and videos. Mr. Curry currently lives in Los Angeles with his dog, Frank

There's also some more information there.

Very easy to confuse John and James, perhaps they are brothers then, one taking up skating and the other ran off to sea.

Thanks, Moosey, for telling us a little more about Tim Curry. He sounds great, but can you tell me why you like him ? I don't want to be rude, I just want to know. I know he's got a great voice, but surely there must be other reasons ?

And ren, ask your husband for the recipe. I'll tell that to my mom and we'll try it out someday.
