What?- no mention of Tim Curry as the Prince of Darkness in one of my favorite flicks, "Legend"? How I wished to see the cloven hoofed menace stomp Tom Cruise's character into curry powder! Then Mia Sara could be mine- all mine!

The "Legend" soundtrack had a great song, almost-hit called "Is Your Love Strong Enough?" which seemed perfect for Curry to cover but was sung instead by Brian Ferry. I don't think of Curry as a musician but as a vocalist in the Brian Ferry tradition (although Ferry does play keyboards on occasion). Perhaps Tim could front a reunion of Roxy Music- that would give Ferry a chance to continue his career as a singer of torch songs. It would be cool to see Tim Curry and Brian Eno in the same band- maybe Eno could even lend Curry his ostrich-feather jacket to wear on stage!

Uh, sorry, I just get "curried" away on the subject of Mia Sara and early Roxy Music.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show, in my opinion is his best movie!! he shows so much flesh in it!!!! That movie is what got him started on show biz!! he was very hot in the 70s and 80s and is still very cute!!

Yes

(A bit of a tangent real quick...you know what I just discovered, though? I hadn't realized that Edward Herrmann played FDR in that movie. He now plays Loralei's dad in the "Gilmore Girls.")

Can we tone down the 'sexy' angle, surely he has other merits. Sexiness is in the eye of the beholder, I don't find him in the slightest bit sexy, in fact he looks quite a bit like Jeremy Beadle.

At the risk of getting clobbered on the head by Sue, WHO is Jeremy Beadle?

You can see Beadle here He used to be on television in the UK quite a lot, mostly those hidden camera shows. I see they gave him a MBE too, just like my boss!

You're right Sue. Tim does look like a younger version of Jeremy Beadle. (Whatever happened to him?) (Jeremy Beadle?.. Didn't he have a birth defect with his left hand? I have no idea what the problem, if indeed it was a problem?, was?)

Whatever...........? He knocks Lisa Rogers into a cocked hat!

Jermemy Beadle, haven't heard that name for years! And that reminds me of someone else whose name I can't remember - he had a show with his name in it and house. So it would be something like "John Smith's House". Anyone Brits know who I mean?

Your allowed to post links to other sites, advertising them, but we aren't?? and once again, to make sure you understand, I wasn't saying that Rockycast was a far more superior site, just that it was good, and that people here should have options, if your afraid that they will leave, and never come back, I doubt they will, in my opinion this is definatly not the greatest forum out there, but I still hang here.

You surely said superior.

Links are allowed to be put in the forum, but we're also allowed to be a little defensive when being told that another site is better.

Red Currey is an 80's movie starring Dolph Lungren, Gaeng Khio Waan and Goan Curry. Harish seemed to like it but I thought it was as palatable as a week old oyster served up in a gym shoe.

How similar is that Jeremy Beadle! Now there's one for the cyber seperation thread!

Tim Curry was also in the movie version of "Clue" as the butler, and in "The Hunt for Red October" with Sean Connery. He was amazing in "Legend" and he also did the voice for the evil ooze in the children's cartoon movie called "Fern Gully" (which also starred the voice talent of Robin Williams, Christian Slater, Samantha Mathis, and a few others). I would love to see him cast in one of the Harry Potter movies. He would make a great Ludo Bagman.

Jill,
I believe the British entertainment icon you are referring to is Noel Edmonds. As in 'Noel's House Party',(a sorely missed staple of British Saturday night viewing).

Tim Curry eh? He scared the bejasus out of me in IT.

Sorry if this makes you envious, moosey, but I saw the show live in London, I think with the original cast, in Kings Road Chelsea in about 1976. I'm not a particular TC fan, but it was a great show. I suspect you have probably seen him as well though, as you like him so much.
You'll have to check out my current celebrity fave Jon Tickle from UK big brother4. His website Nothing like Mr Curry, but a great intellectual and trivia fanatic. I saw the cast this year standing at the window of the series party, as big brother UK is filmed near where I live.

Wez, Jeremy Beadle has Poland syndrome, which affects skeletal development, usually on one side (the left in his case) of the body. He was the funniest radio presenter on LBC in the early 80s, and came back for a while recently, though nothing like as funny. It was his show that got me hooked on LBC and I've been a regular ever since (about 1980). Sorry not to mention Tim Curry on the thread, oh I just did

you did!?!?!?! I couldn't have, I wasn't alive yet, wasn't alive until early 1990, but what I would give to go back and see the first live show with him, as blonde even!!

I don't read Harry Potter and so I don't know who Ludo Bagman is, but I would LOVE to see him in Harry Potter!!!
