An old wives' tale said that the cure for rabies was to drink a glass of wine containing a few hairs taken from a rabid dog.

Hence our folk remedy of taking a drink to cure a hangover... "the hair of the dog that bit you".

Dom Perignon, a Benedictine monk, discovered how to create and retain the natural sparkle in champagne. Upon his first sip he is said to have called out to his
brothers, "Come quickly!! I am drinking stars!!"

I don't quite know what to say! This household makes wine...and it's good for EVERYTHING, really. Saw me through pneumonia last month! Just kinda warm it up til the vapours can get up your nose!

Honest...we crush our own grapes (imported from California), 75 cases a year...just for US! We have four huge oak barrels...we press and press...oh...I can't tell the secrets! HE's ITALIAN! Where's the moon at, anyway???

I always thought about the hair of the dog....if it was Vodka that got you "bad"...then it was a sip of V that would make you a wee bit better! Or if it was brandy...well, same thing!

I like the "stars" analogy!
