The Davis Cup this time. I am not usually a tennis watcher, but Poo's effort in the last set was something that had to be seen to be believed.

Australia defeated Spain 3-1 in the final, to claim our 28th title.

And have you seen the size of the Cup? Makes Bill look like a baby's mug.

Great win, Australia. We gained the psychological edge with the playing of the wrong Spanish Anthem on the first day....gets 'em every time!!

Nothing to fub in Fosse, we're over it. Rugby Shmugby. Let them get one trophy and they never shut up about it.

Tennis is by far the better sport anyway and what a great effort by the Davis Cup team.

Good on ya boys, Australia is proud of you.

On Monday the Davis Cup team was at Federation Square in downtown Melbourne. I went there to see them, and it was really a great atmosphere. Everybody was still so excited about the victory.
And I even managed to get autographs from Lleyton Hewitt, Wayne Arthurs and Wally Masur (coach)!

Tennis is one of the most important sports world wide, along with cricket and swimming

I can't believe I'm saying this, Copago, but I agree with you.
One only has to see the number of posts STILL being made to the Rugby World Cup thread to see that Fosse and his friends are caught in a euphoric time warp, which they won't escape from until England next wins an international trophy.....and that is unlikely to be during the remaining 37 years I've given myself to be still kicking!!
Great work us, in winning the Davis Cup. Now, let's get over it and get to the final of the Soccer World Cup!!
