After downloading a PC game I get this message:

You need a video card which supports multitexturing to run The Hobbit.
The application will now exit.
SSE Instructions detected
3Dfx Voodoo Banshee AGP
Driver filename 3dx 32vb.dll
Vender 0x121A
Device 0x00000003
Driver0x0004000A 000100E8
Direct3D Device not initialized

Do you think I need a new video card and if so what might I need or do I just need to turn something on so to speak. I have Directx9.0b and 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee AGP.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It looks like you've downloaded a bad copy of... Is it all above board, and legit?

Actually, I should say this is a PC game bought at Best Buy; it is not anything I downloaded off the internet. Sorry for the confusion.

Can you give us the specs of your Video Card, and the specs that the game says. I'm sure we can solve this some way or another

Is the card using the latest driver? If not, installing it might make a difference.
