After reading Fosse's post, and seeing this thread on a similar UK site, I decided it had to be a sign for me to bring the Funtrivia awards of 2004 here, and I will start it with my own awards to members.

Firstly to Sue and Ren for looking after me and many other members, and with the help of Linda, Copago and others, holding the whole place together.

For king of trivia, it could only be Tabby Tom, who seems to get to most answers before they hit the screen, and I have managed to beat him just the once!

To Uroborus, for providing encyclopaedic knowledge (and fascinating) on the most diverse range of topics in the relatively short time since he has been here,

And finally to the small group of friends I have made here (you know who you are) who I will not embarrass by naming them. There are many other people I could add, but I hope other people will mention some of them and more after me.
I hope I haven't caused any red faces here, recognising achievement is a tradition and it went down well on the other site (which I only discovered via a link here) so it has had a successful test run already. I hope I have done the right thing, and sorry in advance if anyone I've mentioned is embarrassed, as I am very pleased to take compliments, and hope that everyone else is not that different.

First I would like to make a posthumous award to a very special man, Gunslinger, he gave much to this site.

Then there has to be an award to Terry who had the idea for Funtrivia and created it, we might not see much of him out here in the forums but he is in the background tweaking and thinking up new ideas to improve Funtrivia.

Next comes the other two administrators, gtho4 (George) and Crisw, together with Linda1, Terry and myself we are a team.

How could we manage without all the moderators and editors? A bouquet to them all.

Finally we come to the most important part of the site, the members, without whom there would be no point in the site existing.

A lovely thought David, thank you.

I would also like to posthumously honor Gunslinger, who gave his all to this site. He helped everyone who asked and gave sound advice. He will be greatly missed.

I would like to honor Terry, for without him Funtrivia would not exist.

I would like to honor Gtho4, for his unending patience and for always being there.

I would like to honor Crisw, for her vast knowledge of animals. I know I can always come to her for advice about them.

I would like to honor Linda1, the head moderator, for her kind and caring nature.

I would like to honor Sue, for keeping the forums clean. She is very fair and conscientious, and only reprimands when needed.

I would like honor Kuu and MsBatt for their consistence in trying to get me to see their point of view. You two keep me on my feet. I have to admit that there were several times when I almost agreed!

I would like to honor Uroborous for his knowledge of diversified subjects. He keeps us well informed.

I would like to honor all the moderators for the time and effort they give to Funtrivia.

And last, but certainly not least, I would like to honor the editors, for without them Funtrivia would probably not exist, as they give their heart and soul. You do a great job guys!

I forgot one more from my list, who I had to mention, Lady Macb, for nearly always saying exactly what I'm thinking. I don't know how it happens, I read a post, think of what I'd say, scroll down, and there it is more or less. Quite amazing.
