There are 5.5 million WWII aerial photographs online at http://www.evidenceincamera.co.uk according to a newspaper article that I have just read. Despite several attempts I am having no luck in accessing them, I can get to the site but it is soooo sllooowwwww. Perhaps someone else could look to see if it is just me or whether the site is on a go-slow, could be the volume of traffic perhaps.

Ah, have just re-read the article and it goes online Monday.

For anyone interested in WWII it could prove interesting, these are photographs taken by the RAF of western Europe during the conflict. They include American troops landing on the Normandy beaches on D-Day, the seizure of the Pegasus Bridge by British paratroopers, the aftermath of the first 1,000 bomber raid on Cologne and the German ship The Bismark being hunted down by the British Navy.
