The Chinese New Year this year falls on January 22. If you are born in the Year of the Monkey, you are very intelligent, well-liked by everyone, and will have success in any field you choose.
This seems to apply to a great many people here at FT. Good Luck in the Year of the Monkey!

Yup ...that's me. Born many years of the monkey ago though, so the full character description doesn't fit anymore. I'm not sure that some of it ever did

Take a look, even Google has changed its logo for the day: http://www.google.com/logos/lunarnewyear04.gif

As Ren and Tiel have said (and I'm blindly copying them), "Kong Hei Fat Choy" everyone!

That is really cute, Harish! Thanks everyone. Well , things are swinging here. I am hiding out , or I get pounced on for laisee packets by all the neighbourhood children!Actually the village is quiet now as last night was the great feast and firecrackers with families.
Happy New Year of the Monkey to all!!

The area I live in is very heavily populated with Chinese folks, and things are very festive. The resaurants are offering fabulous meals, and my granddaughter made a beautiful paper lamp in school yesterday.

Happy Year of the Monkey to All!!
