I think any site or forum based on computers is a good source of help. They usually have a core of good all-rounders who know something about every aspect of computers. Others join in who have specialist knowledge on a particular aspects of them. The mix makes for a good information base of remedies for computer troubles.

The small number of us here at FT with an interest in the deeper workings of computers means that we will only be good as a 'first line of defence' when something doesn't work. We're not going to equal gold mine of information of somewhere like protronics.com, or the many other good sites/forums where questions can be asked. There are some sites I often read myself because of an interest in the subject. I also in the hope that some of the information read will stick

Anyway, even if we don't know about something, we're pretty good at knowing the correct keywords to type into Google in order to get the info for you

*EDIT* typo
