The body of actor-writer Spalding Gray was found in the East River, almost two months after his reported disappearance. He was 62 years old. Gray wrote and performed monologues such as "It's a Slippery Slope," "Swimming to Cambodia," "Monster in a Box," and "Gray's Anatomy."
For fans of mainstream, he also appeared in "Kate and Leopold" and "The Killing Fields," among other movies. He had a recurring role in "The Nanny."
He had a car accident in 2001 that threw him into a deep depression, coupled by his mother's suicide. The cause of death is still unknown.
