Now, doomed will probably reply with 'that was not a penalty' etc. I have been on the other end of those tackles, and I have looked for a penalty every time. Sometimes they are not given, but 99% of the time, they are.

Campbell clearly left his leg out, and brought down the forward. He might have made a meal out of it, but he was fouled. As for Rooney's goal, he was very much onside.

49 unbeaten it is. I salute that, but remember which team stopped that run, and remember which team was the first to gain 1,000 points in the Premiership.

Even if the Rooney penalty was soft the Ronaldo one was a stonewall penalty. All this from Arsenal about cheating and diving, gets a bit boring. Arsenal go down at any sign of contact (Pires v Portsmouth anyone) and this from a team that has more divers than an Olympic diving team.
Couldn't have been more fitting that Ruud scored from that penalty, found a nice clip of it here which is defiantly worth a look.

And after the match in the tunnel Sir Alex gets a water and pea soup thrown at him by an Arsenal player, but you have to ask the question what was a player doing with pea soup in the tunnel?

[contented sigh] ahhhhhhhhhhh! [/contented sigh]

Not even SG's soup joke (and I use the term loosely! ) could distract me from my all round feeling of sheer smugness after Sunday's result.

Anyone else not aware that Viera and Mike Riley (the ref..) were siamese twins? Nah, me neither!!

Come on 'doomed' stick yer oar in old mate....

anyone know what the record is for all divisions?

I've just seen on Sky Sports News that non-League AFC Wimbledon have gone 75 games unbeaten, which has equalled the all-time British record. No idea who the other team is though!

It's definitely none of the teams I ever played for.
I know this because I was the one letting all the goals in!
