Jan Berry age 62 passed away today after surfing a seizure at his home. He was one half of the Duo Jan & Dean. They had 10 gold records for their Songs about Surfing and Cars. My favorite Jan & Dean song was "Dead Man's Curve".
I am so glad I got a chance to see them in concert. It brought back alot of good memories.
I also enjoyed the movie about their friendship and career.It is worth watching.

Was it Jan who received brain damage in a car accident many years ago - or was that Dean?

It was Jan almost like their song Dead Man's Curve.
He hit a parked truck in his speeding Corvette.He was lucky to live.
I saw them in Concert after his accident and it was really touching the way Dean Looked after him making sure he didn't trip or fall.
I am sure he will be deeply saddened by the loss of his friend.
