I need a change. I find myself looking at the same old websites everyday. I was wondering if anyone has a few favorites bookmarked that they'd like to pass on. Anything of interest regardless of the subject. Just looking for something new. My favorite subjects are music and sports, but anything would be interesting to me. Thanks.

Ralzzz, you might try clicking on any of the forums, read the posts that interest you and then click on any references given to supporting web sites. Start with the music and sports forums and go from there.
Many of us are interested in esoteric subjects and you can certainly find them here!

Thanks fjohn,
I've read alot of forums, but have yet to come across a real good website. Most of them are related to a specific topic. I was just sort of wondering folks had a website (unrelated to FT) that they enjoy looking at. For instance, I like to go to www.antimusic.com to read some alternative music news. I also do alot of the popular sports sites, www.cnnsi.com and www.espn.com, for example. I once read that the internet had over 6 billion websites and I only look at abou 100 of them. Not even a sampling.

Ralzzz, I can highly recommend The Political Graveyard at http://politicalgraveyard.com/

Don't let the name fool you--it includes living people too. It's well organized and the pages load quickly so it's a pleasure to navigate. There are all these interesting subsets, like: The Confederate House of Representatives, Leading Political Families (like the Kennedys, Roosevelts, Rockefellers, Adams, etc.), politicians who were killed in duels, etc.(U.S. politicians.)

Try www.mouthshut.com . It has reviews on every thing. Why even me (12791), harish_256(harish_317), halfbakedangi(halfbakedangi) and ankuranky3(Ankuranky) are members and have written reviews about Funtrivia.com.

Isuppose it says something about me but my "Favoutites" column reads
FT
Cricinfo (The Wisden Cricket Site)
IMDB (Internet Movie Database)
Ask Oxford (Best Dictionary Site I've found)
Brewers (Brewers Phrase and Fable - gems of useless trivia)
Then there's a sub folder marked Quizzes (with links to the postal quizzes in the UK)

Forgot to say - my home page is set at Copernic Agent Pro (A search Engine, of course)

I can give you the site addresses if you want thjem but they are easily found using the key words above.

My Scrabble record, and that of my daughter are both on this site. Can anyone pick either of us? There are a couple of photos of us- first to identify both will get a lamington and a Vegemite sandwich Aussie Rules and Rugby League also get looked at quite a lot- if you are not an Aussie sports fan, they will be boring

Seriously, I spend probably a little too much time in Yahoo Games playing Canasta, Backgammon (any time you are ready, George!), Poker, Literati, Dice Slider, etc...

As I have some strange interests (so I have been told) here are some from my list of favourites.

way-out new cars
car number plates of the world
reality shifters some of the weirdest supernatural stories around
Disclosure project closest to official UFO admissions you can find
and if you're still feeling withdrawal from funtrivia, have a look at the wayback machine where you can see it as it was over the past 4 years. You can then remove the 'funtrivia' bit from the URL actually, and replace it with any site of your choosing, but who'd want to do that ?

Most of my favorite websites have to do with music. Bomp Records has an
excellent links page for all aspects of music- www.bomp.com/bompsite/Links.html

For cd and artist reviews, I live by www.allmusic.com and www.metacritic.com Another enjoyable music/pop culture site is www.popmatters.com though I've learned to get a second reviewer's
opinion where their record reviews are concerned.

Some fun sites to buy great music from-
www.parasol.com (alternative)
www.milesofmusic.com (alternative country/folk)
www.dblcrown.com (surf/garage)
www.cdbaby.com (independent labels)
www.deepdiscountcd.com (mainstream/alternative)
www.bomp.com (garage/punk)

A fun forum for garage/punk rock lovers is www.garagepunk.com/forums
Uh, I hope it's okay to plug another forum...

You mean there are other leisure websites out there and that you have time to visit them as well as FT? Google, Weather (for the holidays) and the BBC News and that is about it for me, I don't have time for much more. Busy, busy, busy.

My favorite sites change constantly as I check out so many pages at a sitting, plus I`m somewhat fickle. The following are some that have not been deleted from my favorites. This is my favorite photo site. Over 30,000 photos to be scrutinised. This one is my favorite space site. It covers everything to do with space. The CIA World Factbook is one of the best information sites on the net. It covers so many different aspects of all the countries of the world. I have spent hours here. My favorite strange site at this time would have to be this one here. It strikes me as a cross between an old book I read called 1066 And All That and Monty Python, strange but oddly interesting. Too many other sites to mention them all but during school holidays when the little rugrats are getting under my feet I find this page to be stress relieving. Turn the sound on and shake it up.
