While doing research for my current quiz on movie star roles that almost happened, I was reminded of a great scene that all parents of young children would probably get a kick out of, if they haven't already seen it. It's in the 1979 movie "Kramer vs. Kramer." Their little boy serves himself ice-cream, and the father keeps saying "one more step and you're in big trouble, mister." In the 1980 Academy Awards, Dustin Hoffman won Best Actor in a Leading Role, Meryl Streep won Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and the movie won Best Picture.

yes! Kramer vs. Kramer is a great movie. That scene you mentioned is great, but the scene that stuck with me is the one when their kid is playing in the playground and Dustin Hoffman is talking to a woman and then suddenly the kid falls down and hurts his face really badly. The expressions in Dustin Hoffman's face and his desperation while running to the hospital with his child in his arms are so well done. I always remember that scene from this movie.
