Don't you mean Ben and Jerry's, ren?

(I swear the old bat's mind is crumbling faster than a speeding bullet)

Now, now CB I have to be kind to her as my dramatic weight loss has caused me to get face wrinkles for the first time and she has promised to send me some of her Polyfilla (spackle).

No I mean a large tub of Tom and Jerry cartoons for my new computer that plays TV and dvds and vcds.
Also I don't use that stuff. What you see is what you get.

(A tub of cartoons? Now the old bat is confabulating to cover up her memory lapses )

I'm sure she can get you some spackle, Sue. She probably buys it by the truckload.

And ask her to send you one of her heavy duty chin straps as well. They have such fantastic support that ren's ears are now re-positioned at her temples. The local towing company borrows one when they need to pull a small car.

Scrap the grocery list ! In my eagerness to get ready Sunday I fell out of the bathtub squarely onto my face and other useful body parts. Knocked myself stupid (doesn't take much effort to do that - never did, now that I think about it ). But jerky and ice cream are added to my list seeing as how I'm bound and determined to get to the market soon. I've eaten so much delivered pizza that I'm reasonably sure I'm morphing into a pepperoni!

P.S. --> Does anyone know a good way to stop nosebleeds? After my dive I think I lost a gallon yesterday. Don't want to run out or anything !

Ice helps. Try a few ice cubes wrapped in a face cloth, That should help I hope.

Sorry you had such a miserable 'adventure' Gats. Hope you're over it now?

As for stopping nosebleeds : placing something cold on the nape of your neck can work. Sounds odd, but I've seen it in action at school. That particular day it was a huge old-fashioned key which was placed in the collar of a schoolmates shirt, and her nosebleed stopped pretty quickly afterwards. I guess it depends on the reason for the nosebleed. Pinching the soft part of the nose just above the nostril is supposed to be effective too, though I've never had to try it.

My low point of today, tomorrow and every day until the exams are over is the fact that I have exams coming up!

The high (I guess) point is that I got a German essay back today and I got 60% for it. At least it's a 2:1 I suppose... even if only just

Fingers crossed for you that your other results will be at least as good. Is this your final year?

Highlight of the week (or maybe even the year):
I just moved from Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs to the city! Now I live close to my sister, several of my friends as well as heaps of pubs

Disadvantage of the new place: it doesn't have internet access yet, but we'll get that in a couple of weeks. So until then I'll only be able to come here every few days

Thank you

I have written 1,621 words of my German essay. Tee hee. I have a feeling I might end up going over the word limit and having to chop bits out though - only only 379 words left and I still have an entire book to write about, then the conclusion!

Well a personal high for me, although the website where I used to host Clue Tournaments removed Clue without warning etc. I joined a Pyramids (card) league, and after a few weeks enjoying it, applied to become a Tournament Director there, so I could host tournaments. And I was accepted I don't get anything out of it, but I enjoy myself!

The hight point of my day so far was having my two little boys pounce on me in bed this morning with shouts of "Happy Birthday, Mommy?"

I wish I could dredge up some of their enthusiasm about having another birthday, but having a birthday sure beats the alternative.

I just wish the weather would have been more co-operative. We could be having a 10 day sunny streak, but that will always be terminated by the arrival of my birthday...never fails. I would bet big money on it.

I get to look forward to my husband taking the boys and I out to dinner later. That will be a high point.

Happy birthday Ballykissangel

The high point of my day today is that I spent most of it revising. Kind of a low point as well cos it's so boring, but a high point because I'm proud of myself

Thanks, Jane Marple. I'm not sure how that cake came to be. It must be automatically generated by the FT program as I do have my birthday listed.

It is a glorious spring morning here in Halifax!

Yay! Today we are traveling to PEI (Prince Edward Island) to be with my sister and her family for the weekend. I am very close to my sis, and haven't seen her since October although we talk on the phone almost every day.

The trip will envolve a 4 hour drive through to northern Nova Scotia and then into New Brunswick where we will cross the Confederation Bridge that joins NB to PEI. The bridge spans over 13 kilometers and is quite an adventure. The kiddies love it!

I'll see you all on Monday!
