I somehow managed to completely mess up my settings on WordPerfect. My screen is now blue, and has no margins or anything. Does anyone know how to change this? What I would really like to be able to do is somehow restore default settings or factory settings.

I've never seen this on my copy of WP8. Do you have the toolbars available? If so you might try clicking on the yellow icon to the left of FILE on the top toolbar line. Then click RESTORE.
Do you have nothing but a blue screen?

What operating system do you have? Do you have the option of 'go back' in which case go back to before you changed the settings.

Microsoft Word gives the option of showing white text on a blue background. Not anything like that is WordPerfect is there? It might be worth carefully scouring all the preference check boxes to see if there is.

The screen is now white, but it is still not the right dimensions or anything. The tool bars are there, but I have edition 11, not 8, so there is no restore option that I can find. I have Windows XP. I can't find a "go back" option either.

Try VIEW then REVEAL CODES to see what keystrokes or codes are embedded that would have changed your screen. If there are any, block delete or backspace them out.

In XP go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools then at the bottom of the list you will see System Restore - follow instructions from there, you should be able to get back to before the problem started.

I have no codes enabled. Thanks for the tip Sue, that would work, except this started happening about a month ago, and I don't want to change everything that happened on my comptuer since then. Is there a way to restore just that part of my system?

I have been using Wordperfect 9 until recently. I am wondering if you have the correct option in your View menu. It should be set to Page, and Zoom should be set at 100%. This should give you an inch coloured (usually pale grey) background on either side of your new white blank document. Certainly play around with your View menu on different settings to see what happens. If nothing helps, then it could be that you need to backup your files, delete and reload the program if you have the disk. I think there is a repair option on the program disk also, so it may be worth trying that first.
