When I'm just driving and feel good? a classic rock station -we have several here. When I'm on a job somewhere and have a deadline to meet and too much blank wall staring back? KUAF- University of Arkansas Fayetteville. [ Classical all day, jazz and blues at night.] Helps me concentrate!

The radio choices in my neck of the woods are abysmal. My favorites are KKJZ LA and WBGO Newark which are streamed via the internet. I love my Jazz.

There's several great online radio stations. One of my favorites is at Grunnen Rocks site. Nice show selection to choose from. www.grunnenrocks.nl/radio/

hi all since my team's name begins with "classicalmusic" you may well believe that i listen to that (i include opera in this category), so in case any of you want a link to classical music stations, here is one: http://www.mikesradioworld.com/ft_classical.htmlwherever i have lived, i have listened to the classical music station of that place so living in the state of washington, i listen to KING-FM. i would like to think that some of you are listening to either that specific station or an equivalent wherever you are, perhaps even at the same time. why this might please me is because in a way we are sharing something i regard as one of the most sublime creations of man yet. peacelovejoy drbob ps, also recalling the fact that carl sagan included bach on that rocket forgot name sent out to the stars--what better introduction to man that that? i appreciate many other forms of music as well, but my main pleasure is classical!

Classic rock station in the swim bus, soft rock and NPR in the car, and when other people are controlling the radio, country and rap. I don't like the last two genres, but it's not my call.

Radio, what's that? There's not a lot of choice where I am. I like the oldies, 50's 60's and some 70's but there isn't a station here that has that format. Sometimes in the car I listen to the talk radio station but after listening to the host talk like his opinion is the only one that counts, I get bored and turn it off. I mostly listen to my CD collection.

hi all right now i am listening to my tv playing on music choice opera mussorgsky boris godunov (mineva, ghiaurov, svetley)--the whole opera/no commercials. i pay $6.95/mo for a variety of music channels (3 of which are classical). am hearing the coronation scene. majestic. were i listening to fm, i would be playing king-fm which is the classical station in the broader seattle area. of course, i can also listen to just about anywhere worldwide and sometimes i do do that.

I play music so much that when I'm on my own I only want to listen to NPR news/talk or a genre of music that is totally divorced from that which I do. I've been drawn most recently to a classic Iranian station and one from Berlin. If I listen to oldies, I get too tense and excited, wondering if my band should do a remake of this song or that song.

Usually Radio 1 but Five Live on a Saturday or when they're covering a match I'm interested in. Radio 4 - especially their 6.30pm comedy slot. Radio 2 on odd occasions - usually Jonathan Ross. Various genre based internet stations depending on what sort of music I fancy. The radio section on the BBC website has a fantastic "Listen Again" facility which allows you to listen to any show on their major networks at any time for up to a week after they were first broadcast -it's brilliant and well worth checking out www.bbc.co.uk/radio
