IndieQueen Forum Champion Registered: Tue Apr 17 2001 Posts: 7306 Loc: Pittsburgh Pennsylvania USA	Is there a way to convert a BMP into a GIF? I've found several images I'd like to use as avatars, but I can't convert the little rascals to GIF's. You can choose what type of file to save it as. The image sometimes need reducing in size to fit the hole in the FT page without looking all squashed up. Also, a GIF can have the number of colours reduced (GIFs have 256 colours to start with). Both resizing and reducing colours keeps the file size down, which makes the image display faster. Bitmaps can also be saved as medium quality JPEGs for using as avatars. _________________________ Error: Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue..
