I'm not quite sure if anyone else has posted on this subject. The mothman is a phantom figure who appears from nowhere scares the daylights out of people,and warns them of death, or a horrible acciedent to come . There are several documented incidents here in the US and I know of one case in Germany , has anyone heard of it?

I have seen the film which I really enjoyed. I immediately went to the internet after watching the film since it piqued my curiosity. Have you seen it?

I read the book long before I saw the film, and considering the book's meant to be a true story, I'd never have recognised it from the film. Half at least was left out, the victim of trying to appeal to the viewers at the expense of the truth.
The corroboration in the book, mentioning many real names who have never denied a word to my knowledge, as well as a pile of technical anomalies, makes it one of the best anecdotal cases for alien arrival, but of course aliens do not leave souvenirs.

When they decide we're ready (which I don't expect to happen) they'll do more than leave a few left overs, though one book I read has a picture of a perfectly ordinary looking plant supposed to come from 'the other side'. She ought to have it tested rather than leave it in her garden and leave us all wondering, as an alien plant could never have the identical DNA to earth types.

Hi Satguru! Who has this plant? Which book are you referring to? These kind of things fascinate me so I'd be interested to find out.

Got it Shel, it's a South African book called Beyond the light barrier by Elizabeth Klarer. I got a copy so I expect it's possible to get more, and as well as a picture of an alien (very normal looking) fern, there are a few crystals and a ring, which, though they look quite normal, are the only pictures I've seen of 'stuff' supposed to be from an alien source. But I have no way of knowing if Ms Klarer, herself a scientist, did the right thing and got these tested. If not, I'd put it firmly in the 'entertaining but forget it' file, along with 99% of similar claims I've followed up.
