I just bought Dido's "Life for Rent" CD.

I love this woman's voice, but my God her lyrics are scarey!

I haven't determined which of the songs I like best, althought I bought the album for "White Flag". The CD is one of the best "new" CD's I've bought in a very long time.

Is there anything more to her connectio with David Boreanaz, a.k.a. Angel, other than her stalking him in "White Flag's" video.

Anyone else like her music?

Oooo, me, I like her too, Battle. Got both the Life for Rent and No Angel and prefer the No Angel one I think but I do like White Flag. All You Want and Thank You are the ones I listen to most.

Her first CD is really good?

I'll put that one on my Christmas/ birthday/ I need a hug list.

Does she also talk about stalking, suicide, and cheating on it?

Not sure about the suicide but you won't be disappointed with the stalking and cheating --- All you Want fits the bill nicely.

Well, I like it. But I also like Meatloaf so you decide.

Meatloaf is no worse than my John Denver CD.

My wife has an expanding list of music I'm not allow to listen to around her.

If she has to hear me sing "White Flag" again, Dido will there as well.

Maybe, if I sing her music instead, she'll stop listening to it as well?

Karl tried that with The Pogues. He hates them, I love them. It didn't work. He's also tried singing Ryan Adams because I drive him nuts by making everyone who comes to the house listen to "Come Pick me up." Didn't work. I just giggle at him.

I really, really need to either buy this CD or download a few tracks. I've heard great things about it, but "Thank You" put me off. I never liked that song, so I guess I expect all of her work to sound like it.

I was surprized, actually.

I never got into "Thank you". I passed it off as "British filler music".

I've got the habit of missing artists first song and then going bug on their second or third .

Examples being Debbie Gibson, Gin Blossoms, Everclear, and Fionna Apple.

I generally try not to buy an album for one song. Chumbawumba taught me that lesson.

I don't really like "LIFE FOR RENT." I bought it because WHITE FLAG was so good. I do like "DO YOU HAVE A LITTLE TIME" and "MARY'S IN INDIA" though. But I think I wasted my money
