Yesterday I attempted to view a website and much to my annoyance a banner advert appeared which had been badly constructed as it had a great bit white section beneath it which obliterated half the page, I was not a happy bunny so sent a screen shot to the website with a complaint. This is what I got back today....

Thanks for your email regarding the expandable banner that is currently running on Jersey Insight. This banner is currently being re-designed to remove it's drop down function due to errors such as you have encountered.

I apologise for any inconvenience that this may ahve caused you and hope that you won't mind using the site again later today/tomorrow when the banner has been changed.

Kind regards,

A result!

Well done. Think of the service you've done for your fellow Islanders! I went to the site and experienced a bit of trouble though.

If I use Firefox, only some of the links work. Hovering the mouse over the ad at the top produces the drop down box you mentioned. If I refresh the page a couple of times, the box doesn't appear and the links start working. Very strange.

I tried using Mozilla (Netscape) and IE to view the page and the problem doesn't occur. Perhaps I've found a bug in this new version of Firefox. Either that or there's still something funny in the code of the page that Firefox can't quite decide what to do with.
