On Max on the weekend there was the top 200 pub rock songs - who knows how these are decided but was good nonetheless. I made the bold prediction at about song 80 that Cold Chisel and Khe Sahn would be number one - "well, what else could it be?" I thinks.

So number six was

number five - Hunters and Collectors -Throw your arms around me (great song)

number three - Pearl Jam - Alive

number two - Cold Chisel - no Second Prize

what the heck - Cold Chisel only number 2?? Where was Khe Sahn - I had misjudged the deciders of this poll something serious. Did I heck ..

You see I had to avoid all media in the afternoon to not hear the footy score, mumble grumble, so it was a great afternoon entertainment.

Was songs from all over but lots of Australian stuff and we have great groups. My favourites being the 80's kind of stuff - Hoodoo Guru's, Cold Chisel, Hunters ....

You know I have nothing againts Cold Chisel as a general rule...but Khe Sanh thoroughly irks me...quite possibly because they play it *every* week...and I just can't deal with it...

...the funny thing is I go to an Irish pub...and all the Irish guys know all the words...it really is remarkable...
