Here are the results of Round 4. We had 19 entries.
Question 1 Miss Marple Novel
Worth 10 points The Mirror Crackd, The Sleeping Murder, The Thirteen Problems, At Bertram's Hotel, The Body in the Library, Nemesis
Worth 5 points The Moving Finger (5), The Do It With Mirrors (2), A Pocket Full of Rye (2), 4.50 From Paddington (2)
I had to disallow two answers. a) Murder on the Orient Express. It was a Hercule Poirot story, not a Miss Marple. b) Murder After the Gallup. There was a Miss Marple movie of this name. The movie was based on the novel After the Funeral which was also published as Murder after the Gallup in the UK. However the novel featured Hercule Poirot not Miss Marple - this was changed for the movie. So as Miss Marple didn't appear in the novel I couldn't accept this answer.
Question 2 One of Santa's Reindeer
Worth 10 points Vixen, Rudolph, Cupid
Worth 5 points Donner (4), Blitzen (4), Prancer (2), Dancer (2), Comet (2), Dasher (2)
Question 3 Ship of the First Fleet
I think I should explain exactly what the First Fleet was.
The First Fleet consisted of 11 ships that left England on 13 May 1787 to sail to Australia to begin the first English settlement. On board the ships were more than 1000 people of whom more than 750 were convicts.
Worth 10 points Charlotte, Prince of Wales, Golden Grove, Friendship
Worth 5 points Scarborough (3), Borrowdale (2), Supply (2), Fishburn (2), Sirius (2)
No-one mentioned the Lady Penrhyn or the Alexander
There were 4 wrong answers - Mayflower, Harbinger, Justinian, Calista
Question 4 Being who traveled to OZ
Worth 10 points Dorothy
Worth 5 points Toto (7), Tin Man (5), Cowardly Lion (3), Scarecrow (3)
Question 5 Cartoon Lion
I never knew there was so many cartoon lions. I was attacked by them from all directions.
Worth 10 points Snagglepuss, Lambert the Sheepish Lion, Lea (from the Belgian cartoon Tobias Totz and the Lion), Prince John (from the animated version of Robin Hood), Aslan (From the animated version of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), Linus the Lion Hearted, Musafa (Lion King), Scar (Lion King), Kovu (Lion King 2)
Worth 5 points Kimba the White Lion (3), Simba (3), Lippy the Lion (2)
I have disallowed two. Leo the Late Bloomer - he is more properly a character out of a children's book not a cartoon character. Clarence. I need more details on him if he is a cartoon character. I couldn't find him. The only Clarence the Lion I know is Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion who was a real lion.

As I said earlier I am changing this a monthly game with rounds held on Monday through to Thursdays. I have decided that only the winners each round will get points as there is likely to be more than one winner each day.
The first proper game will start on Thursay 1st July but we will have a couple of trial goes before that.

I don't think it matters, but at least my scores do not include the most recent round, or the score from this round was the same as from another round, and THAT round wasn't counted. (After Round 3, I had 55, and I played Round 4 as well.) I wonder if the same isn't also the case for other players. I would love to volunteer as a questionmaker. (I'm a master of nothing, so Quizmaster just doesn't fit.)
Would it be a benefit to have one designated person, perhaps not any of the quizmasters, keeping the running scores, per rounds and per game? Perhaps it would be best if that person wasn't also playing, but I am not sure that is entirely necessary. There are enough checks and balances, what with quizmasters able to know who answered what and each person able to keep track of their own scores as well, to keep the scorekeeper honest.

Kuu, this first week has been a great success and I really appreciate all the effort you've put in for us. It looks as though you've already decided on how you will run the game in the future, and if there is any way that I can be of any help then please feel free to shout.
I was going to make a similar suggestion to Copago, in that we could take it in turns to run the game on a weekly basis with questions Monday to Friday giving the weekend to collate all the points. I'd willingly be up for taking a turn in running it for a week occasionally.

I'd like to add my thanks to Kuu for this fun game, and offer my services if necessary to share the scorekeeping or find questions or whatever. Thumbs up!

Sorry, I made a mistake on your score Lothruin. I will correct it.
The scoring will be much easier if we go to a daily contest. People will be awarded a point for every round they win. At the end of the month the monthly winner will simply be the person with the most points. Not a lot of maths involved at all.
We have 20 people playing now and that is in the first week. We will probably get more people joining in. I think adding up the scores over a week is too much with that amount of people playing.
I am quite happy to share the running of the game with other people. Maybe if people can volunteer for a day of the week that is convenient for them. We might get more volunteers that way than if people have to run it from Monday to Friday. But I will be happy with what the majority says.
Also I have ideas for other games.
One is a mystery photo contest. I would post a link to a page on my website showing five mystery pictures. Famous landmarks, famous people, paintings, the outline of countries, flags, animals, unusual objects, things that are magnified etc and people have to identify them. We did something similar to this when we had our "what animal is this' thread.

I'll jump in here for a day and give Kuu a day off AND a chance to play as well . I'm loving this game... OK, although I'm not as good a master as she is.... 1. One of the 7 Deadly Sins 2. A movie that Meryl Streep was Oscar nominated for but didn't win 3. A state in the U.S. that begins with a vowel 4. A fictional monkey (any genre) 5. Games one might play in a British pub (and just the reasonable ones ) I'm not as fast as Kuu but I'll tally the results tomorrow morning. This will get this addictive game through the weekend, I hope. Game closes at noon, my time, tomorrow.

I really liked Kimba as a child and I regard The Lion King as a rip off of it.
Lets see if I can remember correstly the Baboon was called Daniel and the parrot Polly. What was the name of Kimba's little girlfriend?

My answers for “Kuu’s Rest” are in. I too love the game, but when we get to the real thing, could we leave a couple of days between rounds? Unfortunately, I (and probably others) cannot come on-line every day.

OK...this "summer vacation" fill-in quiz is over. The scores will mean basically nothing but I wanted to keep Kuu's game going for a day or two. Anyone else want to do tomorrow's? . But I shall now go tally everything up. Amazing, really...I only got 10 answerers (and thanks to all). How she sifts through nearly twenty a day must be almost an ordeal!

The Seven Deadly Sins
Worth 10 points:
You all are a sinful bunch . In total you hit them all. But the 10 pointers are:
Gluttony, Greed, Pride and Envy
5 points to:
Lust (2), Sloth (2). Anger (2)
Movies That Didn't Win Meryl Streep An Oscar For Which She Was Nominated:
Worth ten points: A Cry In The Dark, Ironweed, The Deerhunter
5 points to:
Silkwood (2), The French Lieutenant's Woman (2)
I had to throw out Sophie's Choice (because Streep won for that one), Chicago (because she wasn't in it) and "No answer" for obvious reasons.
U.S. States That Begin With A Vowel
For 10 points: Iowa and Alabama
5 points to:
Arkansas, Ohio, Utah & Idaho (all 2 each)
Fictional Monkeys
No repeaters here---Mr. Nilsson (from Pippi Longstocking), Marcel (from the TV show "Friends") , Lancelot Link, Cheetah, Blip (from "Space Ghost"), Curious George, The Three Headed Monkey (from the Monkey Island video game), The Playful Heart Monkey (from "Carebears") & King Louie.
10 points all around!
British Pub Games
For 10 points: Daddlums, Darts
5 points to:
Cribbage (2), Dominoes (3) and "Shove ha' penny" (3)----> and what the heck is that last one? Never heard of it. .
So who won this trivial little thing? Give me a minute. As mentioned I'm very slow at doing stuff like this .
