I should've been a tad more careful with Dracula.

Here is my source of info:

Their is one commonality that should jump out at you.

Like I said before, my interest is not what someine would normally expect.

Ahhh. The producer. That makes Rent the odd one out. THe others were produced by Max Weitzenhoffer. I looked at the director, choreographer and even theatre, but didn't think about the producer.

You are correct, ma'am.

Anyway, I've met Mr. Max Weitzenhoffer, and I can say he can say "thank you" to me for providing a roof over his head.

In 2002, I worked for McMullan and Associates Consulting Engineers. One of their bigger clients was Hugh Newell Jacobson, Architects of Georgetown, DC.
Hugh Newell Jacobson, Architects was contracted to design a residence and a guest house for Mr. Weitzenhoffer, and an addition to the University of Oklahomas Art Museum that permeneantly houses Mr. Weitzenhoffer's art collection.

Anyway, my firm was contracted to do the structural design for all three buildngs.
The engineer for the two houses took off on maternity leave, which left little raw and unexperienced me to design both projects.

So I designed the guest house, whivch is large than most ordinary residence and was full of all sorts of top dollars features like marble floors and limestone veneer walls. This house was relative simple from a structural engineering standpoint.

Mr.Weitzenhoffers's residence, on the other hand, was the most involved and complicated project I have ever worked on and, need I say, was outside the scope of my then skills.
Almost every structural material available was on the project, there was six different gables, three levels, three swimming pools, and a greenhouse structure, inside the building.

I was flown out to Norman Oklahoma talk to the project's general contractor, put up in a small cottage by myself, and really had a wonderful time.

Mr.Weitzenhoffer attended the meeting. He is one of the coolest people I've met. Very soft spoken, friendly, casually dressed, and, oh yeah, was driving an Astin Martin.

The architect, on the otherhand, lacked the limited leadership skills I learned when I was seventeen, so we did not get along. But who needs leadership skills when Daddy owns the the firm and is world renowed.
My supervisor also described that architect as "incapable, but an important client".

For anyone who cares, Hugh Newell Jacobson's main exterior emphasis is multiple gables at 1:1 slope, he has a thing for "hidden gutters" which are a structural engineer's nightmare.

Sorry for the hijack. Your turn Silver Moonsong.

Excellent story.

I'll get back to you on my next round. Just got off work, and had a really nasty night. My cook had to leave because her husband died, and the third shift cook called out - she's pregnant and was having pains, so she went to the hospital.

I'm a little pooped.

Come on, Gatsby...answer it.

Not that I don't enjoying playing nice with Ms. Moonsong, but another player would make the game more fun.

OK. I'll take a crack at the last one .

I'd say The Producers is the odd one out because it was a film that became a Broadway Musical. The others are all musicals that eventually became films. Now that I think about it, that's kind of just a wild guess...

Marlon Brando was the only cast member to star in the musical and movie version of Guys and Dolls?

So the answer is Guys and Dolls.

Let's give this a shot...

Gus - Gus the Theatre Cat is an aged stage actor who worked with the greatest actors of his day. Gus tells of his greatest theatrical triumphs and yearns to perform again.

He once played a Tiger - could do it again -

Which an Indian Colonel pursued down a drain.

And he thinks that he still can, much better than most,

Produce blood-curdling noises to bring on the Ghost.

And he once crossed the stage on a telegraph wire,

To rescue a child when a house was on fire.....

Bustopher Jones - is a large twenty five pounder, always clad in signature white spats. The Cat about town, he spends his time eating, eating and eating in one the many English pubs and clubs that he frequents:

He's the Cat we all greet as he walks down the street

In his coat of fastidious black:

No commonplace mousers have such well-cut trousers

Or such an impeccable back.....

Macavity - Suddenly a thunderous crash, followed by the sound of police sirens and flashing red lights signals that the villainous Macavity is on the loose! The cats scatter, leaving an empty space.

Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity,

There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity.

He always has an alibi, and one or two to spare:

At whatever time the deed took place -

MACAVITY WASN'T THERE!

Skimbleshanks - Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat introduces himself. A friendly uncle to all the cats, Skimbleshanks attends the trains he rides, and makes sure every detail is perfect:

In the watches of the night he is always fresh and bright;

Every now and then he has a cup of tea

With perhaps a drop of Scotch while he's keeping on the watch,

Only stopping here and there to catch a flea.....

.......A third crash interrupts the celebration, and this time the villainous Macavity appears. Two of his henchmen invade the proceedings and kidnap Old Deuteronomy. Demeter and Bombalurina sing what they know of Macavity, whose evil deeds have resulted in his being dubbed the Napoleon of crime.

Macavity returns, disguised as Old Deuteronomy, but he is exposed and battles with Munkustrap and the other male cats. Tired and almost defeated, Macavity rigs an electrical explosion that puts out all the lights, leaving the Jellicles in the dark. But they still have to find Old Deuteronomy. The Rum Tum Tugger calls upon Mr Mistoffelees, the conjuring cat, to use his magical powers to bring back their leader. Mistoffelees succeeds in reinstating the lights, locating Old Deuteronomy and showing off his spectacular magic tricks, including his infamous conjuring turn:

And not so long ago this phenomenal Cat

Produced seven kittens right out of a hat!

And we all said: OH!

Well I never!

Did you ever

Know a Cat so clever

As magical Mr Mistoffelees!

So.... I see two possibilities here. The problem is only that I think I think too much...

Either it is Mistoffeles because he is not part of the Jellicle Ball, which means he is not a Jellicle Cat? OR... as some would say, it could actually be Macavity, because he is a rogue cat, really, and a troublemaker, so he should not be considered one of the Jellicles.

Taking your clue into account, I would say Mistoffeles is the odd one out.

Mr Mistoffelees wasn't one of the four.

I just chose to sing because writing my singing makes everyone happy and their ears comfortable.

Act One is the clue. In every production and CD I've listend to Act One is consistant with this name.

And doesn't Mr Mistoffelees sing on Rum Tum Tugger

Remember, I'm not that smart...or creative.

....is not skin and bones,
But a rather fat cat.
In the Hall of Saint James...[/ii]

This tells you how tired I am - we drove all night to get home and I only took a 3 hour nap.

Maybe you should give it up? I've never seen the show, I'm just familiar with it, since I was a voice major in college. Actually, I'm more familiar with the music than I am the actual show itself.

I'm going to guess Macavity, final answer.

Get some sleep, pretty lady.

Bustopher Jones was the only one sung about in Act One.

MaCavity was mentiond, but his song was in Act Two, along withe the Ballad of Growl Tiger (Gus) and Skimpleshanks, the Railway Cat

To make you feel better, off the top of my head:

Camp Legune
Fort Bragg
Seymour Johnson
Langley

Camp Lejune, NC - Marine Corps Base (I have driven through Camp Lejune a few times on my way to Emerald Isle with my husband. We like to go camping out there)

Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC - "Home of the Airborne" (I have driven through Fayetteville many, many times - it's only 1 1/2 hours from here.)

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC (I haven't been to Goldsboro, but that doesn't mean I won't be someday...)

Langley Air Force Base, Langley, VA (I've driven close to Langley, on my many trips up and down I-95, and I have a friend who used to live in DC.)

So.... Langley is the odd one out because it is not in North Carolina. Sending one a little closer to home for me, eh?

Yep, you are right ma'am.

I lived at the foot of Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia for a year, and have driven by the other three bases.

Tough one

Purple Heart - for being KIA or wounded in action
Medal of Honor - service above and beyond the call of duty
Bronze Star - gallant service
Distinguished Flying Cross - - gallant service in the Air Force

I'll say the Purple Heart because all you have to do is get hurt in action, like the presidential candidate.
