So there I was in the 'Follow up info on IE "break down" thread saying about staying safe using any browser and now a security hole has been discovered in Mozilla Firefox. The good news is that a patch has been released for it. The bad news is that some say IE is subject to a similar vulnerability ...but hey! at least it's not alone this time. Read about the Mozilla flaw here. A link to the patch and instructions on how to apply it is included in the page under where it says:

Alternatively, the browser can be updated to version 0.9.2 (see the Mozilla page)

Makes you CRAZY, doesn't it?!? Here's hoping there will be a patch for the IE group as quickly as they found one for firefox.
School starts up again soon. . .maybe that will help the problems to ease up a bit!!

I read an article about the chain of events that took place between the security hole being discovered and a patch being issued. The whole thing took under a day and a half.

It's disappointing that there was a security hole Firefox when people are turning to it because of recommendations. But still, I've been using Firefox for a good while now and this is the only security issue discovered that I'm aware of. It has had it's bugs (mostly ironed out now) because it is still being developed but I don't think many (if any?) have been security related.
