It's really silly songs or dittys that stick in my mind. I still know all the words to Champion the wonder horse and a stupid little song that was in a puupet series called 'Twizzle' sung by the cat Footso! How sad is that! My pet hate is Wink Martindale's Deck of cards.

The tune they use in this video is all the time in my head. I feel like I'm in a video game when I hear it... I am Pac Man.

i was a teacher-principal at brienne-le-chateau american elementary school in that town in france (usadeg=united states american dependent education group nato school) and in the officer's club every night when i would go in a guy was always playing "georgia on my mind" --this was in the early 60s and pretty soon georgia was on my mind as well. i still love that song especially the version of the great blind guy who sang it-sorry every so often i have memory blocks of stuff i know.

ps, just remembered that i had bought a brand new jag xke in paris and whenever i drove even on paris streets, the other cars would wait just a fraction of a second thinking i would zoom by them so i did--what a beautiful car but it needed a mechanic to keep it going well. had many a helicopter pilot back from vietnam wanting to race me--but i didn't. would you have raced?

Try having a filk song stuck in your head! GRRRR. I have had "Banned from Argo" by Leslie Fish stuck in my head for days. It's a filk song about the original Enterprise crew on shore leave. It also can't be sung in public (it's a little raunchy, off-color, etc.). GRRR. But then again, the alternative song that takes over whenever "Argo" quits is "I am the Very Model of a Modern Major General" from "The Pirates of Penzance", so I guess I can handle "Argo"

Nowadays I'm getting kids songs stuck in my head from my son. Worst one is the theme song to a show called Balamory ... "what's the story in Balamory woudn't you like to know? What's the story in Balamory woudln't you like to go?" I just get it out of my head when it comes on again.

For some reason "Sweet Home Alabama" is in my head a lot of the time. Don't know why. My kids hate it when I sing it all the time.

I get loads of songs in my head. If I listen to it too many times then it ends up being stuck in there all day!

At the moment I have 'Teenage Life' by Daz Sampson stuck in my head and it has been there since it won the UK Song For Europe competition, or whatever it's called. It's irritatingly catchy. It should do well at Eurovision.

We're not gunna do well however annoying our song is. It's all political and no-one's gunna vote for us coz no-one likes us.

You're absolutely right. If it were submitted by any other country it would probably do well though. I was going by the throwaway catchy pop-ness, I'd forgotten about the fact that no-one ever votes for us because they don't like us. I can't work out why everyone always votes for whichever country they are attached to, are they afraid of invasion?

Rereading this thread, I glimpsed my first response about "Molly's Chambers" and now I'm hearing that song again in my head. But no worries, it's a great song. There are much, much, very much worse songs to get stuck in one's head.

I currently have a very annoying jingle stuck. It's the 'Mattress Ranch' jingle:

Only heard "Steady Rollin'" by the Two Gallants twice in the last week yet it's stuck in my head. It's a good song, the singer sounds somewhat like Jack White though the songwriting sytle reminds me more of Okkervil River.
