I'm definitely in the 10+ a month group! Learned to read by the time I was 4, having been read to since infancy by both parents and 3 older siblings. I consider myself a "bookaholic" - I MUST have something to read available at all times - if I'm eating lunch alone and have nothing to read, I'll sometimes spend almost the entire lunch break searching for something new, leaving little time to sit and enjoy it while I eat. I always have several books "in progress" at any given time - one for lunch breaks, one for the living room, one for bedtime reading, plus alternates if I get tired of one I'm in the middle of. I reread old favorites - including mysteries - and can hardly wait for new installments of series. My niece first started reading the Harry Potter books, which piqued my interest, and now I'm more into them than the kids are!
Sometimes it's hard to tear myself away from reading in order to get other things done!
I'm pleased to say that the reading gene has been passed down to the next generation in my family - my niece (age 15) and nephews (16, 13, and 7 years old) all enjoy it, and the youngest nephew (1 year old) loves being read to by his big brother (the 7-yr-old). I remember when my niece was a toddler, not even reading yet - she wouldn't go down for a nap without half a dozen picture books in bed with her. The kids all know that birthday & Christmas presents from me are likely to be books (or gift cards for Borders or Barnes & Noble bookstores!).

Well, enough rambling on here, I've gotta go read now!
