What is sadder is that my daughter remembers quite a lot of them, now that really does make me feel old.

What about the Care Bears? And I remember 10 penny mixes - my favourites were the white chocolate fish and chips, closely followed by the jelly sugar dummies!

The only ones I remember are that movie "Dirty Dancing," and Michael Jackson's transformation from a young black male to a white woman.
I still think "Dirty Dancing" was a good movie. How did I miss most of the '80's?

My niece just had her fourth birthday last Sunday and she asked for and received a My Little Pony, several Care Bears and a Strawberry Shortcake doll!! Is this a time warp or what!? Speaking of Time Warp, did you go to Rocky Horror at midnight in the 80's?

Oh my God, I did! Was one of my first 'dates' but a group of us went from school and I think it was the first time I'd been allowed out after midnight.

Oh yes, that brings back so many memories. Being a Madonna clone, the legwarmers, the ra ra skirts, the New Romantics..

And whenever 'Gremlins' is mentioned I still can't resist 'bright lights, bright lights'....

Jill, you know how they say "If you remember the 60's, you weren't there"? and "Living in the 70's" was a Skyhooks album?
Well..... If you you lived in the 80's, don't admit to anything!

Saw a brilliant production in a grand old Sydney Theatre and can still do the 'Time Warp' - scarey - especially when it's in front of the 'younger generation' (now I feel old . . . er) best hang up my cane and toddle off to bed . . . if I can remember the way . . . old timer's disease kicking in . . .

Engadine, don't forget to take out your false teeth, before you clarify "Old Timer's Disease" (What did I just say?)

Shouldn't joke about it, but what the heck, Alzheimer's (hey I even remember how to spell it . . . or do I?) my Dad's just seen a geron, a gerontol, a, oh bugrit, an old people's doctor (gerontologist - medical terminology coming back to me now - lol) and he's got a touch of dementia (he recently had a very nasty traffic accident and suffered a really wicked knock to the head which I believe didn't help!) so I can empathise at least . . . . . . teeth back in . . . lol

My friend and I were quite the My Little Pony enthisiasts. We had a beauty parlor, probably about a hundred ponies between us, a house, and sooo much other stuff. We even pretended we were ponies.

We also had some Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, and Rainbow Bright. Here's one, does anyone remember those magnetic boards that you drew designs on with magnets? Not Magnadoodle, these were actually magnets that stuck to the boards. I had several sets of those. I think they were pretty in and out though.

Can you tell I was a kid in the eighties?
