Has anyone ever read this book? What was your opinion? I thought it was well written, though it lacked a climax. It was boring with bits of extreme gorriness in between, but was a fast read.

I've never heard of it. Who is it by? What genre is it? What age group would be interested in it?

It's by Deborah Larsen. The genre is historical fiction. I would imagine people 16 and up would be the age group for it. It's abotu Mary Jemison, the girl who was kidnapped by Indians when she was little and lived among them as one of them after the rest of her family was killed by them. I don't even know where you would buy it, because I typed it in a search engine and really didn't get any relevant results. Maybe if you are interested a book store could order it. Though be forewarned, I would not recommend it.

A very good book of that type that I read when I was a kid was Conrad Richter's "A Light in the Forest". As I remember it, it was sympathetic to both sides, and a good study of divided loyalties for young readers. However, I don't remember any details of the book, too many years ago.
