Josh Holloway is featured on this week's cover of TV Guide. They asked him if he knew who was going to die,and he said yes.
There's also a list of spoilers in the issue but I like surprises so I didn't dare read those.

Well, if it's someone who hasn't been developing, I think Jack is going to die. We don't know much more about his character than we did at the beginning of the show (besides the father angle).

I doubt it... Jack is sort of the central figure, the father figure on the island... I'd be absolutely shocked (and extremely disappointed) if they killed Jack off.

I agree with you- but it would be sneaky for the writers to go that way, wouldn't it?

Oh my God! Tonight's episode was both horrible and happy. Horrible that Boone died and happy that Claire finally gave birth to a gorgeous little boy!
I did notice one small blooper, though, the baby was handed to Claire as soon as he was born...which left no time for Kate to cut the umbilical cord. They could have waited a minute or two before Kate handed the baby to Claire, that way it would have seemed as though she cut the cord.
I feel horrible that Boone died, but relieved that it wasn't Sayid. Watching Jack about to amputate Boone's leg, I was crying and yelling for Boone to die so he wouldn't have to go through the agony of having his leg amputated while he was awake!
Did you see next week's coming attractions? I really hope that Sayid doesn't kill Locke!

I was sad when Boone died too. I started crying when Shannon was kneeling next to him. I wish Boone hadn't died I liked him. I don't know who I would have rather seen die though. hmmm... I was happy that Claire had her baby...and I noticed that blooper with the cord too. I was thinking Kate pulled it away too fast. Oh well. It was kind of neat that they had Claire's baby born and Boone die in the same episode though, it's kind of like one life being replaced by another, I guess. I really hope Locke doesn't get killed in the next episode...I don't think he will. I thought it was really stupid of Jack to jump to the conclusion that Locke killed Boone. I mean "hello!" why would Locke want to kill Boone?? They had a kind of son/father relationship. But then again Jack does tend to not think things entirely through so I can understand why. I thought the episode was really good, I enjoyed it...like every other episode. lol Until next week's episode.... frodobeh

Hmm, well, actually that cord issue isn't really a blooper. It's pretty standard practice nowadays to put baby on mom's tummy/chest right after and then daddy or whoever cuts the cord. That cord is pretty long. I thought this was a particularly good episode. Edge of your seat good. I am getting very antsy to find out what's up with Locke, though! What an interesting character he is.

Yes, you are correct about doctors placing babies on their mommy's tummy or chest immediately after birth. And I agree that the cord is pretty long and stetchable.
However, considering that we all know that Claire didn't really give birth (therfore no really long umbilical cord for the world to see), it has to be assumed that the cord was cut...but seeing that Kate whisked the baby immediately out of Claire's skirt and handed the baby to Claire, it left no time for cord cutting.
Heck, considering that this is the "modern" age, they could have added a computer generated umbilical cord to stretch as far as the baby in Claire's arms...but they didn't do that...
So therefore, it was a blooper.

I got to rewatch the episode with my dad today who was several episodes behind me, and I paid special attention to the umbilical cord part. It can, in fact, be seen for a brief moment when Kate pulls out the baby. The cord appears in Kate's hand, and when Kate hands the baby to Claire, she has already wrapped him up in the blanket and we can't see it anymore.

Hey guys, I'm chimpy6302, and I'm a LOST fan ,too. I've just recently come to the forums, and I hope you don't mind if I join you. For some reason, I do think that Jack might die in a season to come, maybe in the last episode? At first, they were going to kill off Jack in the second episode, but decided he might be useful. I wsn't as moved by Boone dying as much as I was when Charlie almost died! Gosh, that stunk! I kind of snickered when Shannon "died" but my stoamach started to get woozy, and I felt sorry for her!

What is with all the reruns?? So sick of it. Anyway, I'm very interested to see how everyone reacts to Boone's death. I think they should really explore that, but I have a feeling they'll just gloss over the grief part. Well, I guess we'll find out in only 82 weeks!

Why do they keep showing repeats between the new shows?? Why can't they just show the new shows week after week until the season finale?? I find it very annoying and if they aren't careful they could start losing viewers. Just finish this season and get into the new season already...I say! frodobeh

There is another reason why they could be showing repeats...in case the audience "forgot" something of importance that we will need for the finale.

Oh my God! Tonight's episode was awesome! I'm so glad that Locke didn't die! The coming attractions for this episode made you think that Locke died, and I'm glad he didn't. I'd like to know how Sayid made it on Oceanic 815 when he told them he wanted to claim his friend's body. 815 was leaving in two hours, and Sayid walked away with the Australian agent to claim the body for burial. Obviously, he *did* make it on the flight, but what happened to make him take the flight? Did he have a change of heart about claiming his friend's body? Was he forced to go on the flight? So many unanswered questions! And what about Claire, Charlie, Sawyer, and "Turniphead"? I can't believe Charlie's calling the baby "Turniphead" because his head looks like a turnip, and because Claire hasn't yet named her son. And, out of all the people on the island, the baby takes a liking to Sawyer! Go figure...maybe the baby knows something about Sawyer that we (the audience) don't know! I can't wait until next week's episode!

Frequently, airlines re-use the same flight number day to day. It's like instead of saying 'the 8:15 flight to Newark', the say 'flight 815' and the airline knows what time the plane leaves from what airport, where it goes, where it stops and what time it lands at what airport, all contained in one little number.
So it was probably the 815 flight for that day, and they just rebooked him for the 815 flight the next day or something.
