Isn't there a way to search only website for a word or phrase using a normal search engine, like google? I thought it was something like this

trivia: www.funtrivia.com

But when I use that format it's not working. So folks, what is it? Or isn't there a way?

If you want to use Google to search within a site, you need to add e.g. site:www.funtrivia.com to your query. Sometimes it's useful to leave out the www part, like when you want to find something on about.com, because their pages have the format of books.about.com and films.about.com etc. and those won't be searched if you'd use the site:www.about.com format.

If you're unsure about all the options Google offers, you might want to try Soople, which is basically Google for dummies.

Go to the 'advanced' search tab - there you can limit your search to a specific website.
