I'm making a Gogo Yubari costume, for my daughter. I like to be as accurate as I can when I create costumes. Problem though, Gogo wears a Japanese school uniform. I have been to IMDb and have everything to make the outfit except for the crest she wears on her jacket. I can make out some of the crest, except for what it says. Can anyone help?

Joni--I Googled the character and found an image gallery with the character. Here is one pic that you can blow up that has the school crest:

Hope that helps.

Thank you Now I can make out the word Tokyo and I'll try printing and enlarging to get the rest. I knew some one here could help. Thanks, again

How about this one?

It clearly reads "Tokyo" and "International" with the initials TBO in the globe:

Thanks That's the best one yet. Saves me time that I can spend on the other costumes I'm making. A cloak with a hood, for a Danny Phantom costume and a Dora the Explorer costume, complete with Backpack and Map.

isn't that a violent character for your daughter to be?
I mean, yes, it's Halloween...but whoa!

That depends on how old she is, Lord.

My daughter and I are going as a witch and her little black cat, and I'm sure quite a lot of people would object to me making my daughter into a familiar for Halloween...

What I wondered about was whether Danny Phantom has a cloak. I don't remember seeing him wear one.

I didn't really want my kids to see Kill Bill. My daughter is 13 and went to a party where they watched the first one. I have suggested other ideas but she thinks it will be cool to be Gogo. We go to the Anime North Conventions and she wants to wear it there, as well. Last year she was Inyuasha, in his human form. She was the only one and got a lot of attention.

The Danny Phantom costume is really like Gandalf's robe, long tapering sleeves and a hood. I think it's really his version of Danny. To be honest, I wasn't sure anyone would know who Danny Phantom was. I tried to convince my son to be Captain Jack Sparrow, again I wasn't successful. Last year he was Ray from Bey Blades for the Con and a LOTR elf for Halloween.

Meanwhile, I'm going to be Dora the Explorer, for the Halloween party, at my work. I guess we're a sick family. I wanted to put tire marks on the t-shirt and be Dead Dora but it would upset the kids at the gym. Just joking. Really, I am a good Mom. I pick my battles carefully.

well...if it's OK with you, I guess.
there is a lot of anime that I would not show to a kid

but 13 and watching bloody movies?
'Kill Bill' was really bloody and violent

hmm...what will your daughter use for her Gogo weapon?
a ball and chain would be tough to lug around
does she look asian? if not...big wig?

isn't it spelled 'Inuyasha'?
and how did your daughter deal with the 'sit!' command?

Watching Kill Bill wasn't really okay with me, I wish I'd known beforehand. Several other Mom's weren't pleased, either. I have tried to screen movies before I give my kids a verdict on whether they can see them. Saw both Kill Bills and explained they were on the wait 'til your older list. My concern was mainly to do with the sexual scenes, Gogo in the bar and Kiddo in the hospital just after she came to. The violence was also a factor, but since you seem familiar with kids entertainment, you'll know it's difficult to keep kids from being exposed to it in cartoons, films or video games. They are not allowed to play "M" games and for "T" rated games, I get a rundown on why it has that rating, before they can rent it. Generally, the "T" is due to the gore content. Example, the Tony Hawks games. A player wipes out and sustains injuries. Not a bad thing, my kids will realize that if they try to do more than a fancy ollie, they could get hurt without safety gear on.

The ball will be paper mache with a plastic chain. Any flinging around and it will break, this should still any temptation to use it. She'll wear a wig and a bit of make up to be more Asian looking.

My kids correct me all the time about my pronunciation and spelling of Inuyasha. At least I know the difference between Kagome and Kikyo. I know some anime is not for kids, again I try to do my homework before letting them watch a film, or, read a manga. I know the difference between hentai and ecchi content and yaoi anime/manga, both kids know, are big no-no.

How did she deal with "sit"? She was a good sport and sat. In fact, there were about a dozen Inuyasha demon- dogs and my human Inuyasha having their picture taken. A girl in a Kagome costume yelled "Sit, boy!" and down they all went, giggling like mad.

I wish the days of dressing them up in cute costumes wasn't over. They're growing up so fast. All I can do is keep myself involved and aware of what is going on with them.
