I ran across this study being conducted by UCSD:
Obscure Fact Learning Study
Basically, you help science by taking a trivia quiz

You may get annoyed, as I did, because a few of the questions are ambiguous or have alternate correct answers that aren't accepted. But I learned a few things from the quiz!

Well, I have done the first two sessions. Knew some already, learned some interesting bits and pieces. Now, I wonder how much I'll recall in 35 days? I guess that's the point, eh?

Hmmm... I have to wait 70 days!

I am interested to see what the final purpose of the study is.

I wonder if the difference in waiting time is random, or if it is age-based? Maybe they think an oldie like me will forget more quickly?

It was hard! I knew nothing the first time through, but when the questions started repeating I felt smart!

It you have a quesy stomach, don't do the melanoma study! It was gross! You sit there looking at moles for 15 minutes, and not pretty ones. I rushed through it.
