I couldn't quite decide on the best forum for this thread. Politics would indicate Current Events but on the other hand when you read some of the entries on this website (www.tedvibert.com) it could be well placed in Jokes and Humor - so I plumped for this forum.

This website belongs to one of our Senators, he spent over 30 years in Australia and without wishing to upset any of our friends from downunder, I would say it shows!

This gentleman (!) stood for election for the unexpired portion of term when a senator retired. He only intends to do it until the end of the term, never intended to stand for re-election once this term expires. He felt that he could shake the government up sufficiently in three years or as he put it, he could stir them up and cause some trouble.

If you want to have a giggle read some of his articles, make sure that you switch on an Australian accent. Politics can be fun. Enjoy.

It is deadly serious. He has a vendetta with some of the other politicians and is determined to discredit them whenever he can. There have been numerous complaints about the site and his 'vigorous' style of politics. As I said, he spent over 30 years downunder and apparently learned to call a spade a shovel. Ted is great, he is a really genuine bloke and will bend over backwards to help people (he used to be a volunteeer in our office). Apparently he got a mention in one of the Australian parliaments, something to do with poker machines which was his line of business out there. I saw it in Hansard.
