What is your avatar? What does it mean to you?

I am so excited that I finally got the picture I wanted for my avatar. It is a picture of one of my pet frogs Captain Murphy.

I was on FT for over a year before I finally got an avatar. It took me almost that long to figure out HOW to get one. Once I figured it out, I wanted something that conveys warmth and light and how better to do that than by having a sun? I love the way it "glows".

My avatar is basically a picture of my cat. We didn't adopt her, she adopted us! Anyway, I was playing around with thise photo-editing software, and this was the result!

My avatar is me. On the crafting forum I belong to, my avatar is a picture of a bunny that says "Got ^'s" under it, which a lot of people seem not to understand. That's just my geek side coming out.

I always wanted an animation, but couldn't really find any to share online, and found most people actually create them from scratch! I had one like my gallery picture I scanned in, and when I got a webcam the cat was on my lap and I took a picture of her. After all, it's really her house and her computer that she lets me share, so it's also her picture now as well

I use the tiger because I was born and raised near to Leicester and Leicester rugby club are known as the Tigers. He is holding a beer which is brewed by Everards brewery and it's called Tiger bitter.
The tiger reference comes from the Royal Leicestershire Regiment cap badge which they adopted after serving in Hindoostan.

I live in what Australian's call the 'Sunshine State', thus, my avatar is very apt! It's also one of the animations from my work's website, which I am the administrator of!

And it is the best looking avatar here He's my favourite player.

Mine is pretty self explanitory to anyone who has been in the tipping and sports forums. I love United. I used to use various cow avatars, but grew bored with them.

Oh Satguru, you should not give up your quest for an animation. There are quite a lot of cool free avatars out there now, and even a number of avatar generators, or you could always ask one of the many tech-savvy FTers to make you one.

Thanks all, I'll follow those leads now, they always appealed to me when I saw them (but so does the cat picture, so that was OK as well ).

Mine is just a picture I found. I love purple and she looks kinda witchy like. So, she stays. I had a ton of Muppet Show avatars at one time, but I couldn't find Statler and Waldorf anywhere. So, purple witchy chick it is.

At the moment, I have my handsome Tigger as my avatar. He was 9 months old in the picture, and he is now 15 months. He is a red somali. We thought he was a maine coon mix, mostly because he grew so fast. Even the vet thought he might be maine coon. Now that he is over a year old and (hopefully!) full sized (at better than 12 pounds already), his markings, characteristics, personality and structure are all somali as far as I can tell. The first picture on the link above shows a red somali. Tigger looks almost exactly like the cat in the picture. His eyes are a rich, beautiful copper color. I'll see if I can get a good picture of him and update so you can all see how he has grown.

SilverMoonsong, you don't for me, you have a logo for Fortune City. I always wondered what it meant, presumably it is where you keep your avatar.

Interesting. I know some have seen it - battleofendor made a comment about it a while back. Let me check into it.

I just purchased web space to host my web pages. Once I get my activation key, I'll get everything set up so I can update my pictures and my avatar. Hopefully that will solve any problems I may have with my avatar.

Yay, I finally found an avatar, and one that I could put on without difficulty (I have tried several times before). It is even better because it's an animation.

I chose this because it is a beautiful image of the world, rising in the night time sky.

I adore the night time sky.
