Sometimes I get easily distracted and tend not to finish my homework. This doesn't always happen as I am usually good with due dates but with the Internet around and other distractions I might get carried away.

I hope this doesn't become a habit, especially with exams coming up soon and an important year in my education next year. The worst thing that happens is when I get an assignment with the due date seeming far away to start with, thinking I'll be able to get it done easily, then on the day before handing it in I am rushing 'til midnight or one to get it finished. No, it's not good and it's definitely a bad routine to get into. I don't want that.

How can I organise my time better? Any motivational tips?
I think once I get started in the right direction I'll be able to keep on track. I've always been an organised person but of late I can't say the same.

Any advice appreciated.

You could also get a pocket calendar that has a line for each assignment. Then you can check them off when they're done.

What I used to do is put the assignment on the page for the day before it's due. This way, I am sure that I know what needs to be done that night and don't get surprised when I see an entry that a big project is due the next day.

You could also do a large wipe board in your room where you keep track of all the things you need to do.

You can also keep a folder where all the 'to do' things are on one side and the finished things on the other side. If there isn't a paper that needs to be filled in, you can write the assignement on a piece of notebook paper and keep one sheet per assignment so you can move them to the finished section easily.
